Wednesday 29th July On Wednesday we held a Stableford off of the white tees. Garry Simpson won Division One with 39 points with Lewis Adderley-Foster securing second place with 38 points, enough to get him to +1 handicap! Division Two was won by Michael Thompson (35 points). Second place in Division Two was a four way tie on 34 points, Derek Harrison had the better countback of the four players. Martin Stringfellow had a fantastic round to win Division Three (39 points), this round has now made Martin a Division Two player.
Saturday 1st August Another white tee competition was held on Saturday but this time it was a medal. Ian Bennett took top spot beating Brain Jarvis on countback both with a nett 69. Tom Little (Third) came in with another solid round of golf, nett 70, which was enough to make him a scratch golfer. Martin Stringfellow now a Division Two player followed his Wednesday win with another win here (nett 67), going back-to-back. Division Three was looking good for early morning starter Stuart Chetwynd until Gary Bright came in with a nett 68 beating Stuart on countback to take top spot.
Sunday 2nd August
Three players shot 39 points in Division One on Sunday which was a stableford off of the yellow tees. Fred Braddock (39 points) won Division One on countback, Matthew Watson second (39 points) and Craig Danks third (39 points). 36 points was enough for Gary Palmowski to win Division Two with three players (Clive Whittaker, Paul Bembridge and Andrew Henshaw) on 35 points. Toby Andrew had a great round (40 points) to win Division Three by one point to Craig Bainbridge (39 points). |
