Hickleton Golf Club - Operational Plan for Resumption of Golf - Phase One Course and Clubhouse Set Up: - Rakes removed from bunkers
- Ball washers covered up
- Bins covered up or removed where possible
- Guidance posts on 11th and 16th removed
- Flagsticks retained but hole liners positioned so that ball does not fall as far and can be picked out of hole without touching the flagstick
- Benches remain available for use but social distancing must be observed
- Shoe cleaner after the 18th to remain out of use and manual brush cleaner removed
- Clubhouse closed, no access to locker rooms
- Halfway house closed, no access to toilet facilities
- Stairway to clubhouse balcony taped up with hazard warning tape
- Social distancing notices positioned at strategic points around the clubhouse and on the course
Practice Areas: - Putting green closed and hazard taped off
- Practice nets closed and hazard taped off
- Practice ground closed in initial phase of opening and no coaching will be available
Before the Round: - Members only in initial phase of opening
- Non-competition social golf only to be played, no fiddles
- All golf to be played using allocated tee times only, booked via the professional by phone on the club number between the hours of 10am and 3pm.
- Booking can only be made for member and one other member at a time. The professional to try and match members for a game where needed. Only book if you intend to play, not ‘just in case’
- Booking can only be done a maximum of 6 days ahead of desired slot, but the professional able to allocate unused slots from 1pm on the previous day
- Tee times to be available for booking from 7am to 6pm each weekday and weekends with all members on an equal footing. No guaranteed slots for juniors, ladies or seniors but non-workers requested to play during the week if possible
- Play to be in 2 balls only initially, allocated at 8 minutes intervals but a group of 3 will be allowed if from the same household
- Only 1st tee to be available, no play starting from the 11th
- Members limited to two slots per week (at least until sense of demand established) which cannot be on consecutive days plus any unused slots that they book after 1pm the day before
- Golfers to arrive by car 10/15 minutes before tee time and change shoes in the car park. Golfers to park away from other parked cars wherever possible
- Golfers to stay in or next to car until 5 minutes before tee time when they can move to the 1st tee, observing social distancing
Pro Shop Supervising the Conduct of Play: - The Pro shop will not be open for the sale of merchandise in the initial phase of reopening
- The professional has the authority to refuse permission to play to anyone without an allocated tee time and/or who is not observing appropriate social distancing
- Club buggies will not be available for hire in initial phase of opening
- Member owned buggies can be used but strict cleaning procedures should be followed before and after use
During the Round · Golfers to maintain a good pace of play and to let through the 2 ball behind if needed · Golfers to stay at least 2 metres apart when walking to the ball, searching for the ball and playing shots · Golfers to smooth sand in bunkers using their club and/or their feet · Golfers should use a golf club to ring the bells on the 4th, 9th, 10th, 16th and 18th · Golfers must keep the flagstick in the green and not touch it · Golfers must not approach greens staff at any time After the Round · Golfers to leave the course immediately after their round is over, with no gatherings around the clubhouse |
