Japan’s ‘Smiling Cinderella’ Hinako Shibuno came out on top in her first ever pro start outside of Japan to take the Women’s British Open. Showing no sign of nerves, Shibuno struck a firm 18ft putt, which hit the back of the hole and just about dropped to secure victory by one shot from USA’s Lizette Salas.

The simple shoe equation

Mathematics can be a complicated subject with all that pi, algebra and calculus floating around, but there is one simple equation we can all understand:

The main problem here is that walking on hard ground for four hours/18 holes in the summer months can take its toll on our feet.

Adjust to your surroundings

Driver adjustability has been a marketing buzz term for a number of years now, but how much of a difference will it really make to your game? Well, we decided to find out.

Adjustable drivers

We could bamboozle you with tech speak when it comes to adjustability but there are two key ways in which today's drivers can be adjusted to suit your swing, making a custom fitting more important than ever before.


Hosel adjustability

The first is the ability to adjust loft and lie angles in the hosel. If you're launching your driver too low or high, hosel adjustability allows us to add or take away loft until we get the perfect launch conditions for your swing.

TaylorMade M5

Perimeter weighting

The second is the ability to adjust weights on the sole of the head to favour either a draw, fade or neutral shot shape.

Take TaylorMade’s ultra-fast looking M5 driver for example. An inverse T-Track boasts two movable 10g weights (as well as an adjustable hosel) that we can position during a custom fitting to help counteract your bad shot.
